WIND-TRACKING TURBINE PLATFORM REDUCES ENERGY COST

Ecomerit’s offshore turbine platform with outrigger floats, faces the wind using thrusters and by windvane. Substantial cost reductions inure from reduced weight, lower installation cost, and added functionality, translating to lower cost-of-energy and more turbine deployment opportunities. Power can either be transmitted to shore or used onboard to produce higher value services and commodities.

Powered by wind turbines, desalination of seawater supplies freshwater for shoreside communities. Residual brine is electrolyzed, yielding a dilute antacid solution that is dispersed as an aerosol into the turbine’s wind wake, efficiently precipitating  atmospheric carbon dioxide and reducing ocean acidity for added CO2 removal. Carbon sequesters for good on the ocean floor.
